As Second Grade Teachers, we foster an environment of continual learning and social development.
January 15 No School! MLK Day! November 27, 2017 Tomorrow your child will come home with a business application. They must work on this for homework and turn it in by this Friday, December 1st! Make sure they choose three people they would like to work with from their class and three business ideas that they can actually accomplish!
This Tuesday through Thursday the BOOK FAIR will be here! It is open before school and after school if you want to bring your child.
November 9, 2017 Next Monday we will have our mayor and mayor pro tem speeches! Job applications are also due! We will announce the winners on Tuesday!
Friday is also our field trip to Cary Town Hall. We will be there from 10-12. All chaperones are welcome to meet us there! Please send your child with a packed lunch because we will eat in our classrooms.
Field Trip forms (last one!) went home with Friday folders. Please sign these and return them. The total for field trips is 17 dollars!
October 27, 2017 We will begin our Government and Economics Unit next week and we are so excited! There are going to be lots of forms going home. Look for the color yellow! They will have the chance to write and deliver a speech and also apply for a job in Second Grade. All of this will be leading up to the Business Bonanza on December 15! More to come about that later....
September 10, 2017 FROLIC WEEK IS UPON US! Turn in those raffle tickets and show your school spirit! The FROLIC is on Friday, the 15th. They will donate them to schools and other nonprofits for the next eclipse. Please send your glasses to Ms. Moser! (we will give them to her!)

August 17, 2017 Tomorrow, Friday August 18th, is an Early Release Day! Dismissal is at 12:30. Please return signed (and with a witness) blue permission forms for the eclipse as well as blue homework folders. Also- if you have any old magazines please send them in next week. We will be using clippings for a fun math activity. Thanks! August 11, 2017 **SOLAR ECLIPSE AUGUST 2017** We are so excited about the upcoming Solar Eclipse which we will be able to see at school on Monday August 21st between 2:00 and 2:45. Every child will be given eclipse glasses to protect their eyes. Please look for a blue permission form coming home in their Friday Folder so that they can participate in this amazing experience!

July 30, 2017 This Thursday, August 3rd, is BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT from 5 to 7. We will be sharing lots of information about the year ahead as well as answering any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!
July 25, 2017 We have had a great first two days of school! We appreciate that most of the students have brought back their yellow information cards. If you have not done so, please fill those out and send them in this week. Our school needs that information on file and we need your email addresses to communicate regularly! Thank you!
July 21, 2017 What is your Super Power? This year Partnership is continuing our theme of "Being a Superhero". Could this be any more fun or exciting?! Our goal is to encourage students to find their strengths and work on sharpening these Super Powers! We know each child has an inner Superhero waiting to take on the world!
